Reviews

Having worked in education for the past 30 years, it is great when you come across a new author and their ebooks.
Normand Goes to Lake Louise is a magnificent book following the adventures of Normand.
With each chapter you feel that you are actually with Normand, with great story telling and use of adjectives to create a vivid description of Normand’s journey.
The interactive aspects of the ebook, brings the story alive. There are also some great additional activities that run alongside the story.
This is a great book that will allow children’s minds to be creative and imaginative.
The book is also suitable for ESL students as well, as it expands their English language skills.
It is truly a book that I will be using with my students and I look forward to reading about the future adventures of Normand.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's clear a lot if time and effort went into it's creation. It's beautifully illustrated and stimulatingly written. Little ones will love the hidden surprises and animal sounds. It's also educational with great links to information about cultures and geography I LOVE the links to recipes for traditional Canadian dishes

Very nice children's adventure story. It contains mini goals (treasure hunt and reviews of the chapters), which help kids to stay interested in the story. It is very colourful and interactive, easy to use for language teaching.

I enjoyed reading this interactive book. I loved the vividly coloured illustrations. The book has a lot of interesting information about the native animals, and the sounds you can play will move the kids imagination. I'd definitely recommend it for curious little boys.

Meet the author

Hi! I’m Normand, born in Canada in 1964. When I was little, I loved digging in the sandbox behind our house. I’d find old toy cars and marbles, the ones other kids had lost long ago! That’s when my love for discovering hidden things began.

I grew up exploring forests, rivers, and mountains, always searching for stories buried in the ground. Now, I write books to share that same sense of adventure and curiosity with young explorers like you.

Normand's 2 dogs, Buddy and Pebbles. Buddy on the left is a black Labrador and Pebbles lying down on the left is a Golden Retriever.

Meet Buddy and Pebbles

Normand feels safe and happy thanks to his two dogs, Buddy and Pebbles. They're a team, always right by his side.
Buddy is the black Labrador, who loves to lean on Normand for a good head scratch. Pebbles, the golden retriever, is the lookout, always keeping a watchful eye on everything. Whether they're on a morning walk or just chilling in the afternoon, their bond is strong. They're not just pets; they're an important part of the family, offering comfort and a special kind of friendship.
